Here is just a sampling of the extruded plastic projects and products representative of the
work we do.
When the state of Wisconsin needed a plastics advisor and partner for the redecking of Milwaukee’s famed Hoan Bridge, they knew who to call. Advanced Extrusions was asked to join forces with the State’s engineers in sourcing the best plastic extrusion material for the application. A Series of Extruded plastic profiles were required to frame the underdeck netting. Serious consideration of material physical properties was required, most importantly: Density, Tensile Strength, Flex Modulus, Impact, Low Temperature Brittleness and Environmental Stress Crack Resistance. Black Color Concentrate with U.V. Inhibitors rounded out the material selection process.
A well-known retailer needed an attention-getting extruded plastic point-of-purchase display and, as is often the case in the fast-paced retail marketplace, time was of the essence. Our customers know that Advanced Extrusions, Inc.'s lean manufacturing principles enable us to provide the quickest response in the industry. We created a Co-Extruded Plastic Flip-up Sign Holder 12" in overall width, perfectly suited to their need. Time from contact to installation on store shelves: two weeks.
In paper production, a ‘headbox’ performs a critical function, distributing a continuous flow of wet stock at constant velocities to the sheet-forming surface. The stock must be uniformly supplied across the width and length of the screen. It’s a precision process, requiring a precision component. It’s no surprise the customer turned to Advanced Extrusions, Inc. to create the close-tolerance Polycarbonate plastic extrusion profile the task requires. Advanced Extrusions uses the latest in Vacuum Sizing technology to create a Polycarbonate Profile that reflects the most exacting tolerances the plastic profile extrusion industry can offer.
